Our group currently emphasizes in the main areas of medicinal chemistry that are related in terms of rational drug design and development topics covering the cheminformatics.
First, we are studying on organic synthesis and structure elucidation of fused heterocyclic compounds such as benzoxazoles, benzimidazoles, benzothiazoles, oxazolopyridines, benzoxazins and their open ringed amide structures. We are interested in to examine the reversal multi-drug resistance activities of the synthesized heterocyclic compounds against different bacteria, fungus, virus, and tumor cells to reveal chemotherapeutic active lead compounds. In particular, we are researching the prokaryotic and/or eukaryotic DNA topoisomerase II targeting drugs.
Second, we are studying on analysis of quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR) and/or molecular modeling field using the pharmacophore-based design (CoMFA, CoMSIA) and/or structure-based design methods in silico models by using SGI Workstation to examine action of mode in order to evaluate and/or optimize the structure of the lead compounds.
We are looking forward to being in cooperation's with the researchers in academia and/or industry for the further preclinical studies of our interested subjects.

ESIS Research Group in collaboration with other international research groups have taken out a PATENT in Germany for "Composition, useful e.g. for the chemosensibilizing
and simultaneous apoptosis induction of multidrug resistance of tumor
cells and bacteria, comprises substituted disiloxane compound in
combination with benzoxazole derivatives".
